Northeastern’s Boston student population has increased 63.2% since 2013. Students struggle to navigate the ever-growing campus.

When Sherri Miller studied on Northeastern’s Boston campus in the 1970s, there were around 15,000 undergraduate students and around 5,000 graduate students, according to documents preserved in Northeastern Library’s Archives and Special Collections.

Northeastern spent $270,000 on federal lobbying in the second quarter of 2025, marking 12 quarters of unchanged spending.

Newly formed Student Mobilization Committee demands ‘accountability, justice and equity for marginalized communities’ from Northeastern

The newly formed Student Mobilization Committee, or SMC, released a list of demands for the Northeastern administration through an Instagram post March 24.

Students in AerospaceNU launch into hands-on learning

In February, AerospaceNU members braced the frigid New England winter and bundled up to launch two rockets in Saint Albans City, Vermont. That day, the Teapot, a 78-inch dual deployment rocket, and the Rubber Ducky, a 96-inch bright yellow Bulkhead innovations rocket, both successfully took to the skies.
